Urban
Copenhill
Is it a powerplant? Is it a forest hill? A ski slope? The answer is yes! It’s Copenhill; the highest outlook in the Danish capital, a waste-converting complex producing energy for its citizens, and a green entertainment hub buzzing with outdoor enjoyment...
Copenhagen aims to become the world’s first carbon-neutral city by 2025. Copenhill, their newest human-made mountain, is an excellent and exciting step towards reaching that goal. It is the cleanest waste-to-energy power plant in the world doubling as an epicentre for urban mountain sport. Its roof has a ski-slope, tree-lined walking trails, and the façade is climbable! Sounds bizarre, right?

What we like the most:
That this proves that transforming to a sustainable city is not just possible, it can also add exciting new leisure features to a town.
